Takisha Bishop is the founder of God's Helping Hands Learning Academy (GHHLA). She absolutely loves and appreciates that God has given her the opportunity to be a mother of two children (daughter 28; son 20) and Nana of 5 kids. She enjoys family outings, going to the movies, spending time with friends and most all worshipping God.

She has been working with children for the last 14 years. Before becoming licensed through the Mississippi Department of Human Services, GHHLA evolved from an in-home center (2013) into a licensed facility (2016). She chose to work with children and families after her first-born granddaughter. She wanted to provide a safe, loving and educational environment for her and becoming an in-home provider was the key. During her first year as a provider, an “AHA” moment took her by surprise! At that moment, She realized that teaching children to write, color, spell their names and play through active movements made her happy. She is ecstatic when it comes to working with children, families, and the staff at GHHLA and she does it all for the “AHA” moments.
